Work life balance is relatively better in the place I am working. It depends a lot on where are you located.

Dislikes

Before describing about dislikes I believe it's only where I am placed currently and it may not completely represent SAIL as a whole. Where I am currently work culture is not at all healthy and lots of unnecessary stuffs happens. Hierarchy is toxic. Keeping superiors happy is more important than keeping quality and honest work.

Contractual Workers suffering from lost of issues like delay salary,Less day in a month 18 days , No Insurance,Job Security, Management behaviour worst with only Contractor Works treat like animal.

Dislikes

Delay salary,Less days 20 days working in a month,no job security, contract period is less,no proper insurance, salary increment, Politics,If Contractual workers getting any kind of issue no one available to lessen.

Likes

The fact that only kith and kins of the top management gets to work in the units like Corporate Office, Regional Marketing Offices etc. Whereas individuals from top engineering and management institutes, in the absence of influential connections, are forced to work in the plant locations in day-to-day jobs.

Dislikes

Rapid increase in the number of accidents of workers as regular employees are getting retired and middle management is involved in rampant corruption with the contractors of daily workers leading to abysmal quality of hired workers with no technical knowledge.

Fair and transparent. Training facilities are excellent. Promotion is purely on merit basis. Salary and wages good. Freedom of doing developmental activities are vast.
