Immense pressure on designers. There are many clients with limited 1-2 designers. If asked to hire more, then they won't hire instead they will expect the designers to work overtime, even on Saturdays. Here, one will not be paid for overtime plus the efforts go unnoticed. The efforts that the designers put in, aren't appreciated if asked for work-life balance, they wouldn't be hesitant to terminate the contract, instead of negotiating and finding a solution to it. This does not only affects work-life balance but also adds pressure and stress on employees. Another thing is the retention bonus system, that is every month they will deduct half from your salary which they will promise to give you on the 6th month then again deduct few from there to add it to the next 6th month which is a deceptive and manipulative tactic to keep employees trapped in an unsustainable work environament. If you resign before 6th month or if they terminate you, then one will not get their deserving half salary which they deducted.
