The journey was great at the beginning. Got a lot to learn about cryptography and how it is used to secure communication at the application layer. There are some really talented guys out there to learn from.

Dislikes

During the end of my tenure, MasterCard people started introducing their own frameworks in the name of best practices and enforcing them. That robs others from learning the core and hinders their growth because it tends to abstract the details beneath. To add to that, documentation, during the transition phase was also poor. Google also couldn't help you. The only option was to go through the library code and understand what it was tring to do. During my tenure I also observed that the smart ones took wrong design decisions and tried to develop something that already existed and was way better than what they were writing. Worst of all, we were being forced to implement/use it. Overall, it is a good company if you get to work on the right stuff and stay clear off the smart ones(sarcasm here)....Read More

From PIP to Promotion – The Greatest Jugaad Story Ever!

Hey, AB fam, PIP = Corporate death sentence. I was there too🥲—panicking, checking Naukri every 5 minutes, watching Bhagavad Gita reels at 2 AM. Priya Ma’am, my boss, had lost faith in me. Friends said, "Bro, PIP se promotion tak koi nahi jaata." But I refused to go down. My Survival Jugaad? Chai Pe Charcha – Timed my tea breaks with hers. "Ma’am, elaichi daalni chahiye thi." Next day? She agreed. Trst unlocked. In meetings, I nodded like a bobblehead. "Ma’am, truly visionary! Aap to corporate Rani Lakshmi Bai ho!" Smiles = Achieved.. Emotional Connect – She loved dogs. I updated my DP with one. "Ma’am, my dog wakes me up for meetings!" Bond = Secured.😉 The Final Jugaad – She looked stressed. "Ma’am, even Dhoni takes a break!" She smiled. Game over. After a few months "Congrats on your Promotion!" Moral? Hard work is good. Smart work is better. But jugaad? Boss, that’s the best! Got a crazier PIP escape? Drop it below! 😂👇
