Everything is good except no work life balance

Dislikes

No work life balance Under staff in majority of the teams which leads the existing staff to work for more than 13-14 hours. Long working hours Companys work culture is excellent However upper and middle management bring their own toxic culture from outside and turn good workplace into bad.

It was good at first, when I joined, good WFH benefits, WFH equipment reimbursement. Good culture.

The culture is not moving in a good direction, there is very less to No appreciation, team culture are going into abyss. Its just becoming a service based company. They are ending the WFH policy. Hike are bad, suddenly they unofficially rollout a policy during appraisal cycle, that management has decided to not give anyone the top rating, everyone has doing only satisfactory work. Work life balance. Very repetitive work . One can manage and make a balance in personal and work stuff. Salary is good if you negotiate good at the time of joining. Later it becomes stagnant ( bonus is good )

Dislikes

Work , skill development , self growth is quite difficult as mostly old technologies are running since years . Senior monopoly. Very less scope for new comer to learn , implement new things , gives ideas and growth . Few people sitting since inception at senior level , they do not move resulting impacting your growth .

JPMC is one of the best employers. The work life Balance is good. Senior management is really great. Employee benefits are another one to be called out. Over all a great experience. I would love to work for this for this firm again.

I love the hyderabad office more , it was a pleasure being in that office .. we had work and fun .. it was always fun to be there .. there are teams who doesnt support but office is known for its credibility.

I hate sometimes certain peoples approach towards team and their attempt to change everything when they come from outside .. when there is a new person from another company they tend to do what they did there but not adapting to the beautiful culture that the company holds in .

One of the worst companies I have ever worked for was JP Morgan. Leadership and other team members make offensive remarks about gender and complexity. When someone takes an unplanned or sick leave, team members often does not react emphatically and don't understand why. What's more surprising is that the leadership encourages this behavior, and if issues are raised, they will ask to ignore them rather than address the problem. It leads to a lack of confidence. A complete employee friendly organization and the entire management is really approachable. Work-life balance is perfectly balanced, at times one may need to stretch, but organization never encourage it. Salary at par, and great perks given too.

Dislikes

No wfh option available with the recent changes announced by the top management. However flexibility will be given based on personal requirements, fingers crossed.

Nothing to like much in Jpmc. Very very bad culture. Higher manager never come and talk to you, even if you are VP. your manager feedback is everything. Even your manager also doesnt come and aak foe your bandwidth. He is expecting , you ask for work, you ask everything. There is no documentation of project and manager doesnt bother to create it. Being a VP, still you will be ignored from every mail within the team and manager will say, 'you come and ask, if you see any changes in code'. If your manager is also a VP, then he wil try to promote himself and he will try to ignore you completely ( not including you in project road map mails). And you cant raise this complain to anywhere. There is no concept of skip level meeting. Technical knowledge has 0 importance here. Dont join jpmc and ruin your career just for few more lakhs in sal. Company culture is very professional and good. Colleagues are obviously genius so can get chance to learn more. JP is a big brand and they maintains their reputation in all manners by providing nice infrastructure, facilities and healthcare support.

No opportunities for abroad. And some projects are still on legacy technologies.

Extreme office politics. You are compelled to compete amongst your own teammates. No good projects. You just keep fixing issues in prod. Strict 5 days WFO.
