Career Advice Needed: Online MBA, M.Arch, or Ph.D.?
Hey everyone,
I’m an architect with 12 years of experience, and I’m looking to level up my career. I’m thinking about pursuing further education but want to stay flexible since I can’t commit to an offline program.
I’m stuck between a few options and would love some insights:
1. Online MBA – Will this help me move into leadership or management roles in architecture or other industries?
2. Master’s in Architecture (M.Arch) – There are so many specializations (sustainability, urban design, etc.) that I’m interested in, but I’m wondering if it’s the best next step for growth.
3. Ph.D. – If pursuing a Ph.D. in Architecture, could it provide a stipend and open doors for teaching or research roles in academia? How realistic is it to balance a Ph.D. with a professional career?
Would love to hear from anyone who’s been through this or has any advice on what could be the best fit for my goals. Thanks in advance!
