Immense pressure in Fund Accounting. Especially if management geta to know you are able to work, handle pressure, you would be pressed till you take your last breath. No planning or vision of the senior management of the way forward. HSBC would rather let the business fall apart, but still not retain its core employees by paying enough at market rates. The culture and free hand given to try out things. Responsibility is given at an early stage to lead meetings and come up with ideas to execute in new projects.

Dislikes

Promotion cycle is not good. They have no transparency. The scope to learn more in analytics is limited as HSBC is a bank and they have legacy systems are the major senior stakeholders are not very interested in the latest technologies and innovations.

HSBC as an organisation is an wonderful place to work with, however, it also depends on the management under which you will be working.I am very satisfied so far , however for the last 1year I have been shifted to accounting n valuation team where I have faced a lot of problems and pressure due to improper management.

Promotions - Promotions are completely dependent on your seniors. Work doesn't matter for them. To get promotion in your own team you have to go through the interview process which is completely biased.

Top management do partiality and discrimination. No proper communication with grands AVP and VP never interact with staffs. If you do bettering you have good further otherwise you won't get one single recognition.

Company is good but newly managers are hired who don't even know basic process and Hr. are not at all given importance in that company whatever the manager says though he is new to the bank are considered Employees are treated as beggars there .
