Depending upon the team work life balance will be good. Lots of IJP options for career betterment. Lots of learning opportunities. The hike after clearing IJP is matched with the minimum level of the new grade. In many cases the hike percentage is comparable to hikes in switching to a new job. I have seen hikes between 20% to even 70%. It depends upon which dept you join.

Dislikes

Don't join at starting levels in this company. Minimum join as an assistant manager. Work life balance in a lot of operations and call centres in hsbc is bad for new joiners. Not all departments though.

Senior Management are worst, plays politics when it comes to growth and doesnt care about anyone unless someone is connected. Rare transparency in growth. It is old ways of hirarchy decisions falls down on lower levels no discussion and when it fails its all issue at down level. Least payer in market, unless you are connected to a senior Management.
