Teammates are good. Training and learning is outstanding. Obviously as Hdfc bank is first in brand there is job security. As I was in retail branch banking salary is good for your operations work but appraisal depends on your accomplishment of sales target. But doing both operations and sales is difficult as I was in teller counter.So i will tell overall Hdfc bank is my favorite bank but i will suggest retail branch banking is worst in any private banks. Compensation is decent but growth is slow. As I m in operations level as teller they will not take the work we are doing in consideration for growth and appraisals they simply check the sales target. Bonus also depends on that. This is not fair. They only give basic training. There is no on job training for freshers. There is hundreds of products who will learn us. In a year there was training and exams only to improve skills and to know about third party products....Read More

I worked as a teller in retail branch banking. My job role is service to customers. Accepting cash deposits, withdrawals, rtgs, neft, clearing cheques, salary upload, fundtransfers, forex transactions etc..

Worst work environment, no work life balance, they ask us employees to work morethan 9hrs, even women staff also should stay till 8 pm. Worst management, they don't even asks employees opinions, process improvement and suggestions to employees in meetings and concalls. Only there will be one way communication. They don't bother about employees wellbeing they all need sales. Even for operations staff also they will torture for sales. Worst bank , Worst experience..
