Dislikes

Sometimes the work pressure is very high and I have to work 12 to 14 hours straight in a day. The structural experts in my domain will not be in the project office which will be very difficult to get some guidance during the execution of the work. Late salary and travel allowance payment.

I'm involved in the design/review of structural design and drawing of Water treatment plants and Sewage treatment plants. Also involved in preparation of Bid document, Bid evaluation and Contract agreement of various Water supply projects.

At first the management will put you on a pedestal to get all the work done and then when the work is over, the management would pull the pedestal out. Wrong judgement is choosing project manager, sometimes the role is given to someone who has zero knowledge about practical field, has never implemented nor designed any structures nor hydraulics, rather has worked as a professor in a private university majority of the tenure, and in spite of repetitive mistakes and misbehaviors with sub-ordinates "that" someone still continues to be the apple of the eye of the management. ...Read More
