Dislikes

People judge you for everything other than work. They give priority for presentation than content. They make you change roles frequently. We will be master of none. Once you enter this place, it's really hard to find job outside. Join if you wish to settle there. Else don't fall in trap for the higher salary they offer

I have read many news how other companies supported there employees to set up work station at home for ergonomics. But this company didn't provide anything and we are working more at home then being at office. All double standards.

There is no growth and lot of poltics. The overall company is good but when it comes to India its all political. They gave laptop but no work from option. No benefits at all. They don't even have cafeteria. They destroy your career. They keep moving you to different team by saying to give you more exposure but how can they move techguy to work in sales or vice versa. No growth technically, once you are out of organisation you will be literally unemployable. Company always has firing target, which will be high next couple in years as now they are established workforce and now want to optimize the resources. No work life balance, late night meetings will be routine and stretching is new norm

Low pay at entry level; They expect you to work a lot but would pay you pennies. Difficulty in changing role; You need to connect and be in people's goodwill to get a role of your liking. Lack of projects; 2 people do the work, and 4 get to take the credit. There is a shortage of projects, so they would expect you to support your stakeholders with whatever they need.

Company has no offering in tech space and have preference to transition all tech work to Service based Companies. Employees are supposed to do over networking, fun Friday and other useless stuffs Not a recommended company for technical SMEs

Politics,Politics and Politics. Coupled with Back stabbing. Primarily lead by people from Cairn and SLB, and a single campus hire who thinks that the person is some behaviour champion. Initially the centre was opened to do all the boring, repetitive stuffs of Exxon Houston, that thought and still many thinks that BTC is some back office of theirs, where you can stuff all the bad work. Few people are good in Houston but many thinks that BTC is incompetent and cannot do things, in some teams the Asset teams are not good. All in all, if you want a chill life with no challenges, join BTC, but if you want growth, good learning opportunity, do not join. There is nothing kept in the Brand name. Especially in India.
