Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..

Unprofessional and Inappropriate Behavior I received a call regarding a job opportunity. The caller initially inquired about my experience, but when asked about my current salary, I explained that I am a freelancer and my earnings vary depending on the project. Instead of acknowledging my response, she insisted on a fixed number, disregarding how freelancing works. When I clarified that my income is project-based and cannot be defined as a fixed salary, she persisted in forcing a specific answer. When I stood my ground, she started laughing and abruptly hung up. This kind of behavior is highly unprofessional and disrespectful. If this is how candidates are treated, I can only imagine how the actual work environment might be. I do not recommend engaging with such unprofessional recruiters.
