Managers are not good at all and they won't support you. They don't consider teammates equally. Employees are lazy too, there is no healthy competition as people delay their work. Most people don't have proper technical knowledge and works on old technology. HR department and IT departments often give excuses if you need help from them. Hierarchy is defined based on favouritism, so managers don't even know how to professionally manage a project. Some managers don't even professionally deserve to lead a project and unfortunately deserving people who would have proper skills or experience to do so never actually get a chance and hence managers never support people under them to grow.
