I joined Deloitte way back in 2017 when the talent pool was great. Now it's just another WITCH company and you can easily guess basis the talent they are hiring. (No offence)

Instead of doing mass layoffs, they'll resort to cheap tricks and techniques for the employees to fall into their trap and then let them go. In one instance, they deliberately exposed their performance APIs for the curious ones to notice. And a few months later, they fired all of them citing compiance. Additionally, they'll ask theteam managers to nominate few low hanging fruits from their team to nominate them for PIP, which ultimately leads to termination. The entire consulting is at the mercy of the sales/marketing and they are pushy as hell. With the advent of GenAI, sales team has been spreading magic to the customers and expect developers to come up with solutions in record time. They'll try to pass of MVP as proper builds and when the dev teams actually come up with reasonable technical challenges, they'll in turn blame the competency of the team. Work culture in External Audit - analyst have to work with Engagement Team (CA team) for audit and not every ET is good, some ET are horrible they don't even allow WFH and give any work which analysts are not supposed to do. 2. The issue for time booking and utilisation. If your Team don't have much projects there will be problem of low utilisation, which is considered at the time of your appraisal. 3. If analyst deployed to any client then everything will be according to Engagement team. Even the promotion is also in their hands so you have to maintain good relationship with them (which is difficult because of their useless CA attitude) 4. Cafeteria is not good. Very few options are available which tastes average. 5.
