I joined Deloitte way back in 2017 when the talent pool was great. Now it's just another WITCH company and you can easily guess basis the talent they are hiring. (No offence)
Instead of doing mass layoffs, they'll resort to cheap tricks and techniques for the employees to fall into their trap and then let them go. In one instance, they deliberately exposed their performance APIs for the curious ones to notice. And a few months later, they fired all of them citing compiance. Additionally, they'll ask theteam managers to nominate few low hanging fruits from their team to nominate them for PIP, which ultimately leads to termination. The entire consulting is at the mercy of the sales/marketing and they are pushy as hell. With the advent of GenAI, sales team has been spreading magic to the customers and expect developers to come up with solutions in record time. They'll try to pass of MVP as proper builds and when the dev teams actually come up with reasonable technical challenges, they'll in turn blame the competency of the team. I think the flexibility that Deloitte offers is amazing and as an employee, I am free to work from wherever I want to, and there is no micro management. The team is very professional and there is not much hierarchy.
The salary paid by Deloitte is not commensurate to the work. Appraisal, especially at Deloitte, India are not up to the mark and overall I believe you are underpaid significantly at Deloitte.
Work policy: being a consultant with Deloitte, I only have to go to the client site. There is no requirement to go to the Deloitte office as such.
