The Peeple, The culture, The leadership visits with free food :), Work satisfaction at least in finance teams, and Occasional ethnic wear :), these all make the Deloitte best. However, I know the culture may vary from team to team, but if you are able to find a good team, you are all sorted.

Dislikes

The hikes are not that good, and last year bonus was also not that great.. Hope this will improve in coming years.

There is no work life balance.... You only chase deadlines through out your life if you are working there. You need to give up on your sleep, family and friends....it's not worth it..unless you are in a good team

The work life balance is good until and unless you are unlucky enough to work for the team which I worked for. They give you enough paid leaves as well.

Dislikes

During busy seasons, it gets very hectic, and you might have to work 20-22 hours a day as well without any break. The growth opportunities in the tax career is very limited and you are only expected to study about tax domain only. Even though they provide you with different linkedin courses. You will see yourself under questions if you try to attempt any course of your interest area.

The culture is really bad. They monitor your food breaks, times you get up from your chair etc. They dont have many clients or a lot of work however they want you to stick to your chair. The seniors are not supportive. This place made my life hell!

No salary hikes at all. TLs says upskill to so that promotion or hikes can be given a thought. From past 2 years only (5 + 7) 12% yearly raised given by company regardless of good and improving performance reviews. It feels like these PR are total fake or like a scam.

WLB and the job satisfaction is missing for me as the technologies being used are very old here which eventually blocks the skill growth in terms of experience with modern age tools and tech.

I think the flexibility that Deloitte offers is amazing and as an employee, I am free to work from wherever I want to, and there is no micro management. The team is very professional and there is not much hierarchy.

Dislikes

The salary paid by Deloitte is not commensurate to the work. Appraisal, especially at Deloitte, India are not up to the mark and overall I believe you are underpaid significantly at Deloitte.
