NOTHING. NOTHING'S GOOD ABOUT THE ENVIRONMENT HERE.

The Management Of Support Team is extremely POOR. When i was hired as ASSOCIATE S/W Engineer, my job was supposed to involve working on Database and to Co-ordinate with Support Team to resolve DB Related Issues. However , Company provided No Training on their Product or the related Database. The initial training which lasted 7 Days , focused Solely on Banking Terms and Products, without any information about Database or the tables related to modules. To my Surprise, once i started working, they assigned me tasks related to Application Support. When i approached my TL and manager for assistance on issues, they were completely Clueless. After repeatedly informing them that i was hired to work on DB, they somehow agreed to assign me tasks related to DB. However, nobody in my team had any understanding of Product or related DB and Tables. They don't even know the basic SQL. My manager , who has 15 years of experience in call centers, claims that SQL is nothing. Infact EXCEL is better than SQL. He insists that people working on Application Support should be designated as DATA ANALYST. The HEAD MANAGER , who possesses extensive knowledge of Product and Database due to his previous roles as Senior DB Developer and Architect, is unhelpful and solely focuses on closing issues within SLA. I had to create a Script in SQL Server and once approached him for help, he redirected me to TL and manager, both of whom are equally uninformed. Working with LIVE DB of Banks , the risk of making incorrect updates is high because we are unaware of the related Tables and the nature of data in each column. In such cases, management immediately Terminates the employee. Work Life balance is worst i have seen till date. Employees can be called up at any hour and asked to work ( many times on Saturdays or Sundays even without Pay )...Read More
