Very poor management and leadership. There is no proper roadmap for the program which they are bringing for employees. Its said that BA and testing profile is becoming redundant and people have to either leave or take up development task. So employees in certain times they feel like very much insecured at their job. Management will keep some program for making employee themself to leave the job wherein they ll bring talented candidate to feel not confident . This is very toxic to go through as employee on everyday have to scare what will happen next for their career to get sustained. Higher management is not ready to take stand on this. Work-life balance is worst and product release plan are done in Australia without considering available resource and time which leads to overtime working even though company policy prohibiting overtime. Root cause of this culture: 1.Local management takes no ownership of resources. 2.Employees fear retaliation to say no to unrealistic timeline set by Australia counter part. 3.There is unofficial competition between teams( product owner) in Australia to deliver more for their growth. Well, comm bank is newly set up in India. They are still struggling to transition projects from Australia. If things doesn't go with there way, they can release you immediately. I am the prime example of this. Our entire team has been laid off recently. They believe in hire and fire rules. No one can predict the future in comm bank specifically in India.
The environment is very toxic and I am not even kidding. People from ANZ regretting their decision after joining Commonwealth India. They said atleast we had job security in ANZ but here they can fire you anyday so whoever is joining make sure you give 100 percent everyday. Everyday means you have to give everyday.
