Good working culture among similar service based company. CTC is straight forward almost like a product based company where fixed component is more and variable component is less Good team and good development projects compared to support projects in other companies Good work life balance

Dislikes

Hikes and promotion are not good. Recent policy changes are not employee friendly Golden days of Cognizant over once Francisco D’Souza tenure as CEO ended

Stability is good. Though in the ongoing global recession, many of my co-workers had to leave projects because of project ramp down and did not get any other projects. Instead of recruiting employees from bench in other projects they are hiring more from people outside.

Dislikes

Appraisal is bad. So joining with low salary does not help much in the long run, better to switch.

Work depends upon what project you get. Had a chance to work on a small project from scratch.

Work timings are pathetic. You work at your regular timings and still have to login later for client calls. In my case mostly extending till midnight. The hybrid culture here is totally unproductive. Upper management is worse, expects you to be available anytime for calls.

The list is endless. Poor management of accounts. They give importance only to clients but not to resources. Resources are treated like third class citizens. Lots of micro management in certain projects. Scrum masters are the biggest culprits in certain projects, they say they are backing the resources but they keep trying to impress only the clients. There's lots of opportunities to grow and get skilled in latest technologies. Certification opportunities and widely available. Work Life balance vary from project to project.

Dislikes

Even though the fixed components are higher than many companies, it's quite less compared to many leading it giants. The yearly increment is very less and it's zero to none for freshers. Appraisal of 5 star rating is almost never given even after going above and beyond expectations. You'll be compensated with bare minimum cheer points.

Nothing I liked. One of the torcher organisation. Making people to commit Suicide with their behaviour. No support from anyone.

One of the worst organisation I have worked in my entire life. With no good faculty no work support. Making human torcher with their work. Mis-using of all leads. There is no person who is ready to listen to agents. If we do anything or not it's completely comes under our fault. If you don't know anything if you ask its your fault.

No hike, no job security, no skill development, no easy transportation.even if you learn new technologies they will ask for experience and make you work in technology which you already know.if you do "jing jack" you will get everything else you will be cornered and make you to think resigning is best than staying there

No projects for PA or fresher. They will keep u for 18 months project then on bench, after that back to home.
