They give work from home and office time is quite flexible
They are lacking behind in technology and not ready to embrace latest and greatest even when other banks have embraced and way forward. No work life balance and I never saw my work being appreciated. Looks like bank is full of shrewd and cunning people and they can only survive.

There's nothing to like at BNY. There's so much politics that when the layoff happens they will save the employees who are from Chennai even if you are much more skilled.
Politics, no salary increment for 3 years, expect you to work for more than 12 hrs a day.

BNY Mellon is undoubtedly a great organization with a strong reputation and excellent opportunities. However, there are areas for improvement, particularly in how employee concerns are addressed. In certain teams, including my own, managers and senior leadership (VPs, AVPs) seem to overlook or dismiss employee feedback, which can create frustration and disengagement. A structured feedback mechanism, where employee concerns are genuinely acknowledged and acted upon, could significantly improve team morale and productivity. Additionally, promotion decisions should be more transparent and merit-based, ensuring that individuals who consistently contribute, innovate, and understand their roles are recognized and rewarded. While employees are often told that BAU work won't lead to growth, it's essential for managers to provide clear guidance and support to help employees identify and pursue impactful opportunities beyond their regular responsibilities. Getting salary on time
The company is going through a lot of senior leadership changes. Favoritism starts at the top, senior leadership having acquaintances with colleagues from JP and Morgan Stanley have taken over and existing ppl are being discarded in a dishonest fashion. There is a sense of insecurity across the floor. And senior leaders are not doing enough to pass on a sense of security (I think they are trying to save their own positions and somewhere got lost) I have heard lot of stories, people being told to leave the bank. As a knock on effect of it, lot of good resources have moved out on their own. Overall, culture is the most important thing that drives employees performance and defines goodwill of the organisation.
