There's nothing to like at BNY. There's so much politics that when the layoff happens they will save the employees who are from Chennai even if you are much more skilled.

Dislikes

Politics, no salary increment for 3 years, expect you to work for more than 12 hrs a day.

Everyone is in politics, if you know licking your boss **** you will be in top , else how much you can work but everything will be west , so learn office politics before coming here

Company is hiring freshers on salary around 14 lakh to around 33 lakh but they dont have money to provide the same to their senior employees. Since Robin Vince join the organization company started discriminating towards senior employees. It looks like they want all the senior employees to resign the organization and just want to hire freshers to cover them.

Managers lobby. Mangers only praise their fav employees no matter what they are doing or not. Top management created their lobby for survivals. Forget about promotion and good hike unless you are not their fav one.

BNY will hire with good package and immediately within 4 months they do plans to terminate employees move to pip again to warning plan then terminate with in a year, even your performance is good and met all organisation's requirements. Some attitude showing manager will decide your future

Worst management. Managers dont have any Process knowledge. Since they are working more than 2 years And they are managing the processes. Just politics happens here. Bny is not that company when our dream was to join BNY. It's really good company. But the management is ridiculous nowadays.

People working here for 14-15 years have formed groups. When an outside enters in the company it becomes an issue for them. I have seen many examples where they create issues for outsiders which in turn makes the job security worst.

Bny put employee first but not the work. Company care about there employee and provide no.of facilities too. But it totally depends on how your manager is in consideration of leaves and promotions.

Promotions and job security is not there, as bny is top banking sector and rapidly grasping the AI which is causing the fear of job security.

For skill development lot of courses are there but one would nt get the time

Company is only focussing on cost reductions and started to layoff people....for decades they have had a lay back attitude and now want to go all in with technology and now want to automate everything. Company maintains lot of unnecessary data and has the same data at several places. Senior management is openly threatening managers and have created an environment of fear.

Nothing, this is the most toxic company I have ever worked for where everyone is living with the fear of layoffs. Nobody works for long term growth but to save the day and celebrate at the end of week that they still have the job. (Only thing slightly good is they offer good paychecks)

Dislikes

Dislike? Everything. The company culture is horrible. The teams are not stable with people either laid off or resigning as soon as they can due to the fear of lay-offs. Carreer-wise and Learning-wise - BIG ZERO. If you want to learn politics - Great sandbox
