Company provides training before joining, formal training at management institutes after every promotion. At senior level the training is also provided abroad at international institutes.Being a government of India undertaking there is full job security, however one can be transferred to a different location depending on the company requirement. One has to be hardworking and sincere, with this one can reach the senior management level without much difficulty. Salaries are governed based on the pay commission recommendations set up periodically by GOI for PSUs. Being a profit making PSU pay commission recommendations are fully implemented. There is profit sharing for executives, however all executives are appraised e.g. excellent, good average, poor etc. and profit is proportionately shared. The profit sharing varies from 200% (Max)of basic salary for CMD to 40% at lower level executives. Depending on the job requirement , one is required to travel, company provides good accommodation and allowances during travel. As most of the work is high technology oriented, if one is hard working and sincere, there is not much politics one faces. However in general there is no politics. Company encourages learning, one is free to spend time to learn new/ futuristic technologies. Company is willing to spend money to buy tools, so that engineers are ready to contribute in new technology areas when opportunity arises. Work environment is good, one can even work after office hours to learn/ upgrade new skills. Much depends on individual initiatives. Company always encourages. Dislikes

If one is hard working,sincere and willing to learn/contribute towards new technologies I do not find any issue. However while joining one should select place of posting where work is challenging. As there are unit locations where due to change is technology, the work may not be interesting.

Work Details

Depending on the location, department the work can be hectic, exciting, boring. However if one is hard working and sincere the work mostly will be exciting and may be sometimes hectic.

Work days: Monday to Saturday (Strict Timings)

Employee Benefits

50% of basic salary is provided as perks, towards food, transport, leave travel assistance etc. One can choose these allowances depending on individual requirements (adjust as per income tax benefits). All units have cuddle facilities for children of female employees. Company provides unlimited medical expenses towards treatment of self and dependents.
