Freedom to take initiative and experiment with calculated risk. Participative work culture and shared decision making and execution.

Dislikes

Limited career progression due to promotion opportunities as per government guidelines. Though GOI administers all its policies but treats PSUs neither at par with government employees nor reputed Private organisation employees or MNC whereas PSUs are have to compete with all reputed privarte companies as well as MNCs for even government orders and timelines for deliveries & quality of products / projects. Following all government guidelines requires additional cost to be borne by PSUs, both manpower cost and operational costs and procedural lead time for deliveries. However, company culture facilitates operational efficiency inspite of above procedural bottlenecks....Read More

According to my point of view very backwarded work culture, nothing will improve our skills and growth. Mainly Gate securites torturing contract level employees. They treat us like slave. Engineering graduates are lose thier carrer by choosing this company. Gate securities thik like they own this company and instantly change the rules according to their wishes. Gate security staffs illtreat every contract level employees and visitors. There is lot of discrimination between permanent employees and contract level employess like Trainee Engineers, Project Engineers and Graduate of Apprentice Trainees. Also Gate securities are harrasing us while security checking physical touch in sensitive places....Read More

Feeling confused, I have almost 7.5 years of experience in contract with BEL

I have almost 7.5 years of experience in contract with BEL in-hand 55,000 p.m. and my contract was completed last month. The experience I got in my period was only post sales/ customer support only and my project was an monopoly work as company is a PSU no other company is doing that project or work so I can switch company. Feeling depressed and helpless. Any guidance/ suggestions will be welcoming.

Dislikes

Few seniors don't respect their juniors and they take all the credit and put all the blame on us. You don't get much to learn.(Not sure about other departments but where I worked i experienced this).
