It's always day one at Amazon, working in such a well known company has its perks. One specific major good thing is the benifits one gets from this company. Yearly hike percentage is Average to Good and Bonus is a plus. Working extra hours has added benefits in few processes, other wise in common working over time hours is payable by the company(not all companies pay you for your over time effort). According to work pressure, i would say it is lesser compared to other companies i have seen or heard of so far. As one grows in the system , they know the internal politics setting up at higher stages. managers bring in people whom they know, despite if the person is fit for the role. Escalations are suppressed by HR team and it will in turn fire back at you. Leaves - There are good leave options provided by company but to get them approved from your manager is hell of a task. They say the HR process is far, however HR, Senior managers keep it tight to their convenience. If anyone would hardly heard of a manager being fired out of company after escalations.
