7 yrs at amazon, i have come accross with managers who not only support learning and development but also support with all your ideas. Talking about work life balance, i might get a lot of heat but i have personally drawn a line which none of my stakeholders have crossed yet. They know when to push and when not to. I love it here.

Amazon culture and all the happy faces are only for the papers and videos. Too much of pressure from manager and management. They conduct interviews for the next level only as eyewash. They will conduct interview till last round and won't promote even single person. Manager will pressure the tenured people utill they drop paper.

1. There is no work life balance. You have to work in rotational shifts and week-offs. 2. Favoritism prevails at Amazon, especially in terms of growth. 3. They terminate atleast 7% employees annually which is mandatory as part of the annual performance evaluation cycle. It is completely data based and not situation based. Their policy about work is getting worse day by day. If we don’t have work we can’t roam around and do something in laptop. We just have to stick to the laptop no matter what. They have blocked all the other websites that can entertain us when we don’t even have work.
