This experience has been the worst, even my background in startups. There’s no real HR or accounting department. You only get paid if the CEO feels like it. If she decides to pay you, you have to ask her directly again n again. After a week or two, she might finally send some money your way, but it won’t be the full amount. she’ll promise to add the rest next month. The fact that you don’t receive your offer letter while you’re already working is a huge red flag. If you try to raise a valid concern, the CEO and COO will just end up blaming each other. If you’re looking for a job, its better to hold out for something stable and secure. Take your time to explore other options. Choosing to work for this company is definitely a mistake....Read More

Got Rejected In an Interview, Just Because I Didn’t Answer a Personal Question

So, I got invited for this interview, and they told me to be there at 9 AM. Of course, I get there early, like 8:30, because I don't want to be late. But then I end up waiting for 1.5 hours. Seriously, they didn't even acknowledge me until 10. Then this HR lady calls me in, and she's totally unprofessional. She's like, on her phone, making personal calls while I'm sitting right there. And then she starts asking me these really weird questions, like what my nickname is, and what my dad does for a living. It got really uncomfortable when she started pressing for details about where my dad works. I mean, what does that have to do with anything? So I politely told her I didn't want to answer, and she actually said, "Then we can't continue this interview." I was honestly shocked. But instead of arguing, I just stood up and said, “Alright then.” And walked out. I left feeling pissed. Not only did they waste an hour of my time, but the HR rep was also rude and unprofessional..
