1. Gives too much power to managers over people and managers dont have to justify their action..they can do whatever they want with your promotion, salary hike and variable pay

I joined in as a fresher so my experience as fresher is below - You'll not be able to select the technology you want to work on, so if you are assigned to a technology that you have no interest in then you won't enjoy and your career will go down the drain - Less ctc and the component of variable pay is just more money out of yourpocket.
