Hi there!

I am a Cloud DevOps Engineer with 5.9 years of experience specialized in Azure.

I am currently in a job switch, and I notice that companies are not able to match or provide more than a 25 LPA salary. Are others also facing similar issues? Or is it just me?

I tried in mostly all IT MNCs and then rejected offers during offer letter discussions. For example, TCS, Infosys, Cognizant, Wipro, PWC, and Tech Mahindra. Most of them have budgets up to 22 LPA only.

Day to Day Office

Last night, I came home feeling really frustrated after a last-minute meeting at work. I rang the doorbell and saw my husband looking happy because he got a new project thanks to his hard work. 

He was telling me how much praise he got at work and how his career is moving forward. But I suddenly lost my patience and shouted .............SHUTUP, I’m not happy right now ................too much frustrated and I don’t want to hear about your achievements. Just leave me alone.

He looked surprised, and I walked away from the room. Since then, it’s been quiet between us................no hugs or support. And I am wondering why?

If he can share his happiness, why can’t I share my frustration? Being partners means understanding each other, no matter what. 
Why the silence? Not everyone has a good day every day. Sometimes, you just need someone to ask how you are feeling before talking.

I’ve noticed this pattern more than once.
The more successful a man is at work, the more distant he becomes emotionally.

My last partner had a great job at a top finance firm. Big salary. Fancy LinkedIn profile. But when it came to feelings? It felt like I was dating someone who just wasn’t there.

And honestly, I don’t care how much money someone makes if they can’t even have a simple, honest conversation.
That’s not ambition, that’s emotional neglect in a suit.

So I’m wondering does growing in your career implies you have to stop showing emotions?
Or is this the "New Normal" now.
