How to Get into Cloud Security?
I’m currently working as a security analyst. Started out in helpdesk, then moved to application support → desktop support → SOC analyst.
I’m now looking to get into cloud security but feeling a bit stuck on what direction to take.
So far, I’ve done some basic certs (A+, Security+) and a few cloud ones like SC-900, AZ-104, and SC-200. But I know there’s still a lot to learn.
Any advice on the best certifications, roles, or degrees to focus on to make the jump into cloud security? Would love to hear your thoughts!

Yaar, Cloud Security is vast, but don’t get overwhelmed! Maybe focus on one provider (AWS, Azure, GCP) and go deep. What’s your favorite cloud platform so far?

If you’re looking to specialize further, Azure Sentinel for threat detection in cloud environments might be worth exploring. It’s a growing area for SOC analysts transitioning into cloud security!

Have you thought about getting into pen-testing in the cloud? Certs like eLearnSecurity’s eCPTX or learning tools like Burp Suite in cloud environments could help.
