Email communication for Retention?
I received a retention offer from my company and I was expecting to receive an email communication about the revised CTC approval/confirmation. My manager and I also had a prior discussion in Nov about this. Though the offer is approved, I am yet to receive a formal email. I did follow up with my manager about the same and he suggested to go ahead and inform the other company HR about my offer withdrawal. But he has not sent the email confirmation yet. What should I do? It will be a delay to inform other HR, but I will feel more comfortable and aligned with an email communication, which was anyway discussed before. Feeling stressed. Kindly suggest.

It's all an effort to make your offer lapse. If not in writing, it's nothing at all. Keep pursuing your other offer until you get it in writing.

Don't reject the other offer unless you have things completely in writing. It could all be just to get your other offer lapse!
