Asking for a friend - I need help to choose between two offers

Hey everyone . A friend of mine just received two offers. One from an emergency start up in automobile space, and other an international telecom player. I am not able to decide which one should be considered. Option 1 - Startup 25 LPA Option 2 - 20 LPA Both the jobs are in gurgaon, option 1 is near my house, but option 2 provides food as an additional value. I am assuming work life balance would be better in Option 2, but not sure if I should give it that much importance right now. The person in consideration is a 29 year old professional with an MBA degree. Please share your thoughts.

See Startups can offer rapid career advancement and opportunities to shape the company's future. But, they can also be more demanding and less stable🤷‍♂️. On the other hand, the telecom company offers a more stable work-life balance and a well-established career path. Ultimately, your friend should weigh their preferences and career goals to make the best decision.

I'd recommend the startup. At 29, with an MBA, it's the perfect time to take a calculated risk. The higher salary and potential for rapid growth in a burgeoning industry are incredibly enticing. While the work-life balance might be more demanding, the potential rewards are significant. Plus, being closer to home can be a major advantage.

Please take into consideration your personal life as well. If you : 1. are in a dicey relationship situation or 2. are a new father or 3. have some health complications in family or 4. in any other situation which needs you to be flexible, Blindly go for the option that provides good WLB. Some companies have extreme working conditions which can make you feel guilty for even caring for your own needs.
