Edge Computing Network Engineer

As an Edge Computing Network Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Network Design & Implementation: Design and implement robust, scalable edge computing networks, ensuring high availability, low latency, and optimized performance for data processing at the network edge.
• Edge Node Management: Deploy and maintain edge nodes and devices, ensuring proper configuration, integration, and security for seamless operation within distributed networks.
• Optimization & Troubleshooting: Continuously monitor and optimize network performance, addressing issues related to latency, throughput, and scalability. Identify and troubleshoot network bottlenecks or failures.
• Security: Ensure the security and integrity of edge networks by implementing appropriate encryption, firewall, and access control policies.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system architects, software engineers, and data scientists, to define network requirements and deliver integrated edge solutions.
• Testing & Validation: Conduct rigorous testing of edge computing solutions to ensure performance meets industry standards and business requirements.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain comprehensive documentation on network architecture, configurations, and troubleshooting procedures. Prepare regular reports on network performance, issues, and improvements.
• Research & Innovation: Stay updated with the latest trends in edge computing, networking technologies, and cloud-edge integration to propose innovative solutions for business challenges.

• Educational Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field.
• Experience:
  • Minimum 2-5 years of experience in network engineering, with a focus on edge computing, cloud networking, or distributed systems.
  • Experience working with edge devices, network design, and implementation in a production environment.
  • Prior experience with network monitoring tools and performance analysis is highly desirable.
• Certifications (Preferred):
  • Certifications in networking (e. g. , CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+).
  • Certifications in cloud or edge computing technologies (e. g. , AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Azure certifications).
