Job Description


  • Formulate and implement a strategic plan aimed at enhancing and broadening the company's business development efforts within the construction equipment rental industry - sector across diverse initiatives, including steel plants, special economic zones, smart cities, industrial factories, wind turbine installations, national and state highway projects, expressways, metro systems, high-speed rail projects, airports, and inland waterways.
  • Coordinate internal resources and business strategies to provide customers with the most competitive pricing, thereby strengthening our value proposition in the construction equipment rental sector.
  • The leadership team should receive consistent market intelligence regarding the pertinent industry, encompassing emerging trends, project pipelines, and competitor assessments to ensure that order forecasts are in sync with market conditions.
  • Oversee the complete sales process, from initial customer interaction to final contract signing, serving as the main point of contact for significant accounts.
  • Assume responsibility for the entire sales cycle: identify leads, facilitate scope discussions, negotiate agreements, and finalize orders with key clients.
  • Align all technical and commercial elements of proposals with customer requirements, UEPL's strengths, and market trends.
  • Foster strong relationships with major accounts to enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Continuously assess market conditions to adapt sales strategies and meet evolving customer needs.

  • Lead and guide the sales and business development team to meet sales objectives and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Ensure compliance with the established sales process, enabling the team to create proposals that align with UEPLs competitive market strategy.
  • Foster a culture of ongoing improvement, focusing on accountability, teamwork, and performance excellence.
  • Exemplify strong leadership, ethical behavior, and a customer-centric mindset in all professional interactions.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders, including developers and government agencies.
  • Oversee the coordination between UEPLs operations and customers during project execution, ensuring timely completion and adherence to contracts.
  • Encourage innovative thinking within the team to enhance sales strategies and customer engagement.
  • Implement training and development programs to elevate team skills and performance.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Regularly assess team performance and provide constructive feedback to drive improvement.


Requirements:


  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Civil Engineering, or a related discipline, along with an MBA or equivalent qualification.
  • Proficiency in multiple languages, with Hindi as a requirement.
  • Over 15 years of experience in sales or business development in the Construction Equipment Rental sector, including cranes, trench cutters, tippers, rigs, excavators, and road machinery.
  • Demonstrated success in meeting and exceeding sales targets in large-scale, complex Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) projects.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Experience in developing strategic sales plans and executing them effectively.
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and industry knowledge enhancement.
  • Proven leadership skills with extensive team management experience.
  • Capable of thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with a results-oriented mindset.
