Safety Officer

Interested candidates can directly walk-in from 13/01/2025 onwards.

(Preference will be given for immediate joiners. Salary is not a constraint for a right candidate.

Outstation candidate will be provided accommodation).

(Office closed for Pongal holidays from 14 to 16th. (Hence you can plan on 17th onwards again for walk-in)

• Foster a positive health and safety culture within the organization by actively engaging employees in health and safety initiatives.
• Perform comprehensive health and safety risk assessments throughout the workplace to identify hazards and implement effective risk control measures.
• Oversee health and safety training programs for employees, including First Aid, Firefighting, H&S Representative, H&S Supervisor, Risk Assessment, Accident and Incident Management, and Evacuation Planning.
• Establish and enforce effective safe work procedures across all departments and sectors of the business.
• Ensure employees understand and fulfill their health and safety responsibilities.
• Continuously monitor, evaluate, and enhance health and safety practices.
• Implement occupational health and safety policies and programs.
• Raise awareness of safety protocols and ensure compliance with established guidelines.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce preventive measures to mitigate hazards.
• Promote a proactive approach to health and safety management within the organization.
• Coordinate and implement occupational health and safety training for staff and management.
• Observe and document any hazardous behaviours or procedures that pose risks to health and safety.
• Compile incident reports and deliver statistical data to senior management.

Requirements:

• Degree and certificates in organizational health and safety
• Preference will be given for candidates with engineering degrees
• Demonstrated experience in a safety officer role
• Comprehensive understanding of safety protocols and procedures
• Awareness of potentially dangerous practices
• Experience in developing health and safety reports and policies
• Skilled in data analysis and statistical reporting
• Proficient in MS Office and knowledgeable about safety management information systems
• Excellent organizational abilities
• Detail-oriented and diligent in work tasks
• Excellent written and verbal communication. Multi linguistic is preferred. Hindi is mandatory.
