Traffic Manager (Transportation Logistics) Manager

• Oversee and manage the logistics and transportation of heavy construction equipment, including cranes, hydraulic rigs, excavators, and earth movers, across various sites throughout India, ensuring alignment with business needs and project urgency.
• Manage logistics and transportation of heavy construction equipment across various sites in India, ensuring alignment with project requirements.
• Ensure timely delivery and cost-effectiveness in all transportation activities.
• Oversee shipment scheduling and routing, factoring in distance, transport mode, and urgency.
• Cultivate relationships with carriers, negotiate contracts, and monitor service quality for optimal performance.
• Continuously assess carrier performance, address issues, and seek improvement opportunities.
• Implement transportation management systems to enhance visibility and automate logistics processes.
• Collaborate with internal teams to streamline operations and improve communication across departments.
• Develop strategies for efficient transportation routes and schedules to minimize costs and meet deadlines.
• Prepare performance reports on transportation metrics, including delivery times and costs.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend improvements to strengthen supply chain activities.
• Adhere to transportation regulations and safety protocols.
• Keep transportation documentation and reports current.
• Perform routine audits of transportation operations and address issues during emergencies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a similar discipline
• Proficiency in multiple languages, with Hindi as a requirement
• Demonstrated experience in traffic management
• Candidate from Construction equipment rental and allied industry will be given preference.
• Comprehensive knowledge of transportation and logistics regulations
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
• Capability to plan, prioritize, and manage various tasks efficiently
• Exceptional organizational skills for coordinating and scheduling shipments
• Ability to handle multiple shipments concurrently while meeting deadlines
• Effective collaboration skills with internal teams, external vendors, and transport providers
• Proficient in resolving issues to ensure seamless supply chain coordination
