Procurement Executive

Role Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Executive/Assistant Manager - Procurement to join our team in Ahmedabad. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of procurement practices, including Direct and Indirect Materials, Import Procurement, and Project Procurement. This role requires expertise in sourcing strategies, vendor management, and cost optimization to ensure seamless operations and project execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Operations

• Execute procurement of Direct and Indirect Materials in line with organizational requirements.
• Manage the end-to-end process for Import Procurement, including coordination with international suppliers, customs clearance, and regulatory compliance.
• Support Project Procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of equipment, materials, and services.

2. Vendor Management

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and new suppliers.
• Evaluate vendor performance based on quality, delivery, and pricing.
• Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to achieve cost savings.

3. Cost Optimization

• Analyse market trends and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs.
• Identify opportunities for bulk purchases or long-term agreements to improve cost efficiency.

4. Compliance and Documentation

• Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations during procurement activities.
• Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.

5. Cross-functional Coordination

• Collaborate with internal teams, including production, quality, and finance, to understand procurement needs and align on deliverables.
• Provide inputs for budgeting and cost forecasting.

Qualifications and Skills

• Educational Qualification: Bachelors degree in engineering, Business Administration, or related fields. MBA or equivalent specialization in Supply Chain/Procurement is a plus.
• Experience: 3-7 years in procurement, preferably in manufacturing or project-based industries.
• Sound knowledge of SAP or similar ERP systems and proficiency in MS Office.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong understanding of import/export regulations and processes.
