Role & responsibilities
1. Draft, negotiate, and manage contracts with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
2. Monitor contract compliance and resolve any contractual disputes or issues.
3. Develop and implement cost-saving strategies in procurement, aiming to reduce procurement costs and improve profitability.
4. Manage supplier relationships and performance to ensure on-time delivery and quality standards.
5. Optimize inventory levels and lead times to meet production needs while minimizing carrying costs.
6. Lead procurement-related projects, ensuring milestones and deliverables are met on time and within budget.
7. Manage incidents related to procurement, such as supplier delays or quality issues, with effective resolution.
8. Analyze procurement data to track KPIs such as on-time delivery, cost savings, and supplier performance.
9. Manages function and staff responsible for procurement of materials and services needed in the manufacturing process.
10. Defining and communicating rules for supplier bids and managing high-impact purchases. Evaluating the qualification of suppliers and negotiating prices.
11. Managing daily activities associated with requesting quotes, issuing purchase orders, invoice/contract approval, grief resolution, job instruction, vendor contacts, supplier quality/delivery, record keeping and all other purchasing related activities.
12. Managing the quality of purchased goods and services based on specified requirements. Solving major supplier related problems.
13. Monitor and control procurement budgets to achieve cost-saving targets.
