Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and Implement Sales Strategy: Create and execute a national sales channel strategy to drive revenue growth across various sales channels including direct sales, channel partners, and dealers.
  • Sales Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a high-performing national sales team, ensuring they meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Channel Partner Development: Establish and strengthen partnerships with key channel partners, distributors, and resellers. Develop incentive structures to drive channel partner growth and success in selling solar products.
  • Market Analysis & Forecasting: Conduct market research and analysis to identify sales opportunities and trends. Develop sales forecasts and reports to track progress against objectives and adjust strategies as needed.
  • Sales Training & Development: Ensure the sales team and channel partners are equipped with the necessary training, resources, and support to successfully sell solar solutions.
  • Performance Monitoring: Set clear performance goals, monitor the sales teams progress, and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build strong relationships with key customers and stakeholders, ensuring long-term partnerships and loyalty.
  • Collaboration with Other Departments: Work closely with the marketing, product, and operations teams to align sales strategies with business objectives and ensure seamless execution.
  • Brand Advocacy: Be the champion of the company’s brand and values, ensuring the message is consistently conveyed across all channels.
  • Compliance & Reporting: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and corporate policies. Provide regular reporting on sales activities, forecasts, and market trends to senior leadership.

Key Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or related field. MBA is a plus.
  • Experience: Minimum 10 years of experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a leadership role in the renewable energy or solar industry.
  • Proven Leadership: Experience in leading and managing large, geographically dispersed sales teams, with a demonstrated ability to motivate and inspire.
  • Sales Expertise: Deep understanding of sales strategies, including channel sales management, B2B, and direct-to-consumer sales models.
  • Solar Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of solar energy products, trends, and market dynamics.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate effectively with key stakeholders.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze sales data, market trends, and financial reports to make data-driven decisions.
  • Travel: Willingness to travel nationally to meet with channel partners, customers, and key stakeholders.
