Inventory Manager (Open Yard)

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

Maintain and monitor stock levels of raw materials, tools, and equipment in the open yard.

Ensure proper storage, handling, and stacking of inventory to prevent damage.

Conduct regular stock audits and cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy.

Receiving & Dispatch Coordination:

Verify the quantity and quality of materials received and dispatched.

Ensure proper documentation of incoming and outgoing materials.

Coordinate with the procurement team and vendors for timely replenishment of stock.

Record Keeping & System Management:

Maintain updated records in inventory management software ( ERP & Excel).

Generate reports on stock levels, consumption patterns, and wastage.

Ensure barcode or RFID tagging for easy tracking of inventory.

Yard Operations & Organization:

Ensure materials are stored in designated areas as per layout plans.

Maintain a clean and organized open yard, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.

Optimize space utilization and ensure efficient material handling.

Vendor & Team Coordination:

Work closely with vendors, transporters, and warehouse teams to streamline operations.

Supervise inventory staff and laborers, ensuring proper handling and storage of materials.

Train team members on best practices in inventory management.

Safety & Compliance:

Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations regarding storage and handling.

Implement safety measures to minimize risks of accidents, theft, or material damage.

Conduct periodic checks to prevent pilferage and losses.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

Education: Graduate in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.

Experience: 4-6 years in inventory/warehouse management, preferably in an open yard setup.

Technical Skills: Experience with inventory management systems (ERP&Excel).

Soft Skills: Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Physical Requirements: Ability to work in an outdoor environment and handle physical inventory checks.
