Sourcing Manager
About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced and results-oriented Sourcing Manager to join our growing team.
As a Sourcing Manager specializing in Kidswear, you will play a critical role in identifying, developing, and managing a strong network of high-quality vendors to support the company's growth and success.
You will be responsible for sourcing high-quality materials, ensuring on-time delivery, and maintaining strong vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
Vendor Development & Management:
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new vendors specializing in kidswear manufacturing.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key vendors, ensuring timely communication and collaboration.
- Conduct regular vendor performance reviews and address any quality, delivery, or performance issues.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve vendor performance and reduce costs.
Sourcing & Procurement:
- Source high-quality materials and components for kidswear products, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards.
- Negotiate competitive pricing and delivery terms with vendors.
- Manage the procurement process, including order placement, order tracking, and shipment coordination.
Quality Assurance:
- Ensure that all sourced materials and products meet the highest quality standards, including child safety regulations.
- Collaborate with quality control teams to identify and resolve quality issues.
- Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the supply chain.
Market Research & Analysis:
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging materials, and new sourcing opportunities in the kidswear market.
- Conduct market research to identify potential new vendors and sourcing options.
- Analyze market data to identify cost-effective and sustainable sourcing solutions.
Supply Chain Management:
- Manage the entire supply chain process, from raw material sourcing to finished goods delivery.
- Identify and mitigate potential supply chain disruptions.
- Optimize inventory levels and minimize stockouts.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- 12+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, or supply chain management within the apparel industry, with a strong focus on kidswear.
- Deep understanding of the kidswear market, including trends, materials, and manufacturing processes.
- Proven experience in developing and managing vendor relationships.
- Strong knowledge of quality and safety standards for children's apparel (e., CPSIA, ASTM).
- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
