Job Description

  • Talent Acquisition Lead, India, is responsible for driving and executing the talent acquisition strategy to attract, assess and hire top talent for the organization. The role involves managing end to end recruitment process from sourcing to onboarding of the candidates while ensuring a seamless and positive candidate experience. The TA lead will work closely with business to understand hiring needs, build talent pipelines, and implement innovative, skills-based recruitment practices. Additionally, the TA lead will also focus on team development, process optimization and the integration of advanced technologies to streamline recruitment efforts and support organizational growth.
Strategy
  • A seasoned professional who as part of the India Talent Acquisition Leadership team, will play a critical role in shaping and delivering India s hiring strategy to deliver business impact in a dynamic, skills first environment. This individual will play a pivotal role in designing location strategy for India in partnership with other colleagues from Talent Acquisition, business stakeholders and our agency partners to deliver the desired outcomes for the organization.
  • While driving a shift towards skills first hiring, the individual will be responsible to design & leverage on the various channels to source the right skills which would include unlocking internal mobility, focused external talent & skills mapping for targeted outreach, leveraging the right agency partners for specific roles as required and other innovative ways to reach out to the desired talent.
  • One of the key impact areas for the candidate will also be to create tailored engagement programs designed to deliver exceptional experience for both internal and external candidates. This would include crafting bespoke initiatives that resonate with diverse talent pools ensuring every candidate feels valued & supported throughout their journey.
  • The individual will also play an important role in building and leveraging a strong and compelling brand proposition for the firm in India. This would be done in consultation with the HR Business Partners and the Global Employer Branding team to be able to attract the best-in-class and diverse talent.
Business
  • Individual will act as a strategic advisor to business leaders on workforce planning, talent market trends and hiring strategies to address skills gap. Partner with business heads, HR Business Partners, own team of Talent Acquisition partners to identify current and future talent requirements ensuring alignment with organization goals.
  • Would be responsible to build and nurture relationships across functions and regions, fostering collaboration in a highly dynamic organization to instil confidence and trust through honesty, integrity and authenticity.
  • The right candidate for the role will demonstrate strong business acumen with the ability to comprehend complex business dynamics, make insightful decisions and lead strategic initiatives. They will excel at connecting the dots across different functions & areas of the business ensuring an integrated and holistic approach to addressing challenges & opportunities.
Processes
  • Candidate will be responsible for ensuring a robust and efficient adoption of processes directly or indirectly impacting the day to day working of the team. They will be responsible for seamless implementation and empowering the team under them to integrate these processes into their daily workflows effectively. Beyond adoption, candidate will play a pivotal role in providing timely & constructive feedback to the global Talent Acquisition Operations & Process Excellence team fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
People & Talent
  • Candidate will be responsible to lead, inspire and mentor the team to build a culture of high performance and outcome orientation to drive superior business results. Additionally, will be responsible to equip the team with the tools and capabilities to attract & engage top talent in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
  • Candidate will focus on fostering a culture of continuous learning, innovation & accountability, empowering team to achieve their full potential. By providing tailored development opportunities provided by the firm & regular coaching, the TA lead will enable team to stay ahead of Industry trends, championing a culture of excellence.
Risk Management
  • Talent Acquisition Lead will be accountable in identifying, assessing & mitigating risks to ensure compliance, protecting the reputation of the firm & support long term success. This includes monitoring adherence of global & local hiring regulations and processes, safeguarding against biases in the recruitment processes and ensuring data privacy in recruitment systems.
  • The lead will also proactively address any potential risks associated with talent shortages, evolving market dynamics or process inefficiencies by implementing strategies to mitigate their impact proactively.
Governance
  • The Talent Acquisition lead will play a pivotal role in driving a strong governance culture in the team to ensure consistency, compliance, and transparency across all recruitment activities. The individual will be responsible to enforce standardized policies & guidelines to align with the organization values, legal & statutory requirements, and industry best practices.
  • TA Lead will also act as a key advisor to the HR Business Partners, Business Stakeholders, Hiring Managers on governance related matters fostering accountability within the team and among stakeholders.

  • Take personal responsibility for embedding the highest standards of ethics, including regulatory and business conduct, across Standard Chartered Bank. This includes understanding and ensuring compliance with, in letter and spirit, all applicable laws, regulations, guidelines and the Group Code of Conduct.
  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.
  • Lead the team to achieve the outcomes set out in the Bank s Conduct Principles: [Fair Outcomes for Clients; Effective Financial Markets; Financial Crime Compliance; The Right Environment.]

  • Business Heads, Hiring Managers, HR Business Partners, HR Centre of Excellence functional leads, Talent Acquisition partners, Talent Acquisition Leadership team, other support functions such as Legal, Corporate Communication, Brand & Marketing, Compliance, Risk etc
  • External agencies, partners, consultants, education Institutes, Industry networks, Professional Associations etc.
Other Responsibilities
  • Embed Here for good and Group s brand and values in India / GBS / Talent Acquisition; Perform other responsibilities assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies and procedures; Multiple functions (double hats);

  • EDUCATION- GRADUATION OR POST GRADUATION FROM A PREMIER INSTITUTE WITH TALENT ACQUISITION SKILLS ACQUIRED THROUGH AN EXPERIENCE OF 8-14 YEARS
  • LANGUAGES- HINDI, ENGLISH
