Job Summary

Spectrum Electrical Industries Limited is seeking a skilled Amada Machine Programmer to join our fabrication team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for programming, operating, and maintaining Amada CNC machines to produce high-quality sheet metal components. The role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, sheet metal fabrication processes, and the ability to troubleshoot machine operations.

Hands-on experience with Amada software, including AP100 or similar.

Key Responsibilities

1. Programming and Setup
• Develop and optimize CNC programs for Amada machines, including punching and bending machines.
• Configure machine tools, select appropriate tooling, and set up material specifications based on job requirements.
• Ensure programs adhere to design specifications, manufacturing standards, and material tolerances.

2. Operation and Production

• Operate Amada CNC machines to fabricate metal components as per drawings and specifications.
• Monitor machine performance and make adjustments as necessary to ensure precision and efficiency.
• Conduct first-article inspections and verify part dimensions using measurement tools.

3. Troubleshooting and Maintenance

• Diagnose and resolve programming and machine operation issues.
• Perform routine maintenance and inspections to minimize downtime.
• Report and coordinate repairs for any major machine malfunctions.

4. Collaboration and Documentation

• Collaborate with design engineers to review and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Maintain accurate records of machine programs, tooling setups, and production data.
• Suggest improvements for programming and production processes to enhance efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education: Diploma or Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, ITI, Tool Engineering, or a related field.

• Experience:
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience programming and operating Amada CNC machines.
• Hands-on experience with Amada software, including AP100 or similar.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes and materials.

• Technical Skills:
• Proficiency in CNC programming and G-code/M-code.
• Knowledge of Amada turret punch presses, lasers, and press brakes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
• Skilled in using measurement tools like calipers, micrometers, and height gauges.
