4 Axis VMC Machine 3D Programmer cum operator

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Programmer cum Operator for our VMC 4th Axis Work Centre. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of hands-on experience working with critical machining jobs, showcasing expertise in programming, setting, and operating Vertical Machining Centres equipped with a 4th axis.

Role & responsibilities

Programming and Setup:

• Develop and optimize programs for VMC 4th axis machining using CNC programming software.
• Set up machines with proper tools, fixtures, and workpieces for precision machining.
• Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and 3D models.

Operation and Quality Control:

• Operate the VMC, ensuring production of high-precision components within tolerances.
• Monitor the machining process and make necessary adjustments to maintain accuracy and efficiency.
• Conduct quality inspections using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).

Maintenance and Troubleshooting:

• Perform routine machine maintenance to ensure smooth operations.
• Identify and resolve technical issues related to the VMC 4th axis.

Preferred candidate profile

• Experience: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in programming, job setting, and operating VMCs, including 4th axis operations.
• Job Setting Expertise: Proficiency in setting up critical jobs involving complex geometries and tight tolerances.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming, including G-code and M-code.
• Familiarity with CAM software and 3D modeling tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of cutting tools, materials, and machining parameters.
• Quality Assurance: Proficient in using precision measuring instruments like micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality inspection.
• Other Skills: Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
