Purchase Engineer (Electrical Purchase)

Job Summary:

The Electrical Purchaser will assist in the procurement of electrical equipment, components, and materials required for the company's projects and operations. This position will involve supporting the procurement team by sourcing and purchasing products, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring timely delivery and cost-effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sourcing and Purchasing: Assist in sourcing electrical products, tools, equipment, and materials from suppliers based on project specifications and requirements.
• Supplier Communication: Communicate with suppliers to obtain quotes, negotiate pricing, and ensure product availability.
• Purchase Orders: Create and process purchase orders for electrical goods, ensuring proper documentation and adherence to company policies.
• Quality Control: Ensure that purchased products meet quality and safety standards and match the required specifications.
• Vendor Relationship Management: Support in maintaining positive relationships with existing vendors and explore opportunities for new suppliers.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions, including pricing, purchase orders, delivery schedules, and product specifications.
• Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, new electrical products, and pricing, to identify potential cost savings or improved product alternatives.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: A degree or diploma in electrical engineering, electrical technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience: 3-6 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or a related field (preferably within the electrical industry).
• Skills:
• Detailed Knowledge of SAP Module
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Basic understanding of electrical components and materials.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
