Job Title: Head of Legal.

Location: Delhi.

Reports To: CFO.

Job Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and business-oriented Head of Legal to lead our legal department and provide strategic legal counsel to the executive team.

The Head of Legal will ensure that all legal aspects of our catering operations within the rail industry are in full compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and contractual obligations.

This role will involve managing a wide range of legal activities, including contract management, regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and supporting business growth initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Legal Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute legal strategies that align with the company's goals, particularly in the context of catering services on trains and rail infrastructure.

- Dispute Resolution: Handle any disputes or litigation, particularly those related to contractual obligations with rail operators, food safety claims, or customer complaints.

- Manage relationships with external legal counsel as needed.

- Contract Management: Oversee the drafting, negotiation, and review of contracts with suppliers, rail operators, and other stakeholders, ensuring favorable terms and risk management for the company.

- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant rail and food industry regulations, including health and safety standards, food handling laws, and transportation regulations.

- Stay updated on industry-specific legal changes that could affect business operations.

- Licensing & Permits: Ensure the company secures and maintains all necessary licenses and permits for food services and operations within the rail industry.

- Corporate Governance: Provide legal support to the Board of Directors and senior management on governance matters, ensuring that the company adheres to best practices in legal and regulatory compliance.

- Data Protection & Privacy: Ensure compliance with data protection and privacy laws, particularly where customer and employee data are involved in catering and onboard service operations.

Qualifications:

Education: Full time LLB from reputed institute.

Experience:

- Minimum of 20 years of legal experience, preferably within the transportation, hospitality, or food service industries.

- Prior experience in the rail industry or with large-scale catering services is highly preferred.

- Demonstrated leadership in a legal capacity in a senior or head of legal role.

Skills:

- Strong understanding of contract law, food and transportation regulations, and regulatory compliance.

- Excellent negotiation and communication skills.

- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Proven leadership and team management experience.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with a focus on business-driven solutions.

Note: Must have managed CBI AND ED Cases.
