Job Description: Legal Head - Pharma Company

Position:- Legal Head

Location:- Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida (Preferred) / Open to Relocation

Experience:- 18-20 years

Key Responsibilities:

Legal Strategy & Advisory:

- Lead the legal department and provide strategic advice to senior management on key legal matters.

- Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the company's business objectives.

- Advise on a wide range of corporate legal matters, including regulatory compliance, intellectual property, contract negotiations, and corporate governance.

Litigation Management:

- Oversee and manage all litigation matters, including handling and coordinating external counsel.

- Manage disputes, arbitration, and litigation processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective resolution.

- Represent the company in legal proceedings, including courts, tribunals, and regulatory bodies.

Regulatory & Compliance:

- Monitor and ensure compliance with national and international pharmaceutical regulations, laws, and industry standards.

- Develop and implement compliance programs and internal policies to mitigate legal risks.

- Ensure adherence to FDA, MHRA, EMA, and other regulatory authorities' guidelines.

Contract Negotiation & Drafting:

- Lead negotiation and drafting of contracts with suppliers, partners, customers, and other stakeholders.

- Review and vet all legal documentation related to the company's operations.

Risk Management:

- Identify legal risks and work with senior management to minimize exposure.

- Provide proactive legal guidance to protect the company's interests in all business activities.

Team Leadership:

- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of legal professionals.

- Build a high-performing legal department and foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, and integrity.

Key Qualifications:

Education:

- Law graduate (LLB) from a reputed university.

- Additional certifications or qualifications in corporate law, intellectual property, or any related field will be an added advantage.

Experience:

- 18-20 years of professional experience in the legal domain, with at least 10 years in the pharmaceutical sector.

- Significant experience in managing litigation, regulatory issues, and compliance in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.

- Demonstrated expertise in contract negotiation, drafting, and dispute resolution.

- Strong understanding of pharmaceutical regulations and intellectual property rights.

Additional Information:

- This is a senior leadership role reporting to the CEO/COO.

- Candidates based outside Delhi/Gurgaon/Noida must be open to relocation.
