POSITION DESCRIPTION :
- We're looking for a seasoned Legal Associate Director/ Director with 15-20 years of experience in the tech industry, preferably in SaaS and startup environments.
- The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of dealing with blue-chip clients, negotiating high-stake contracts and providing expert counsel to senior executives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide strategic legal guidance to the CEO, senior leadership, and cross-functional teams.
- Lead negotiations with blue-chip clients, partners and vendors, ensuring favourable terms and mitigating risks.
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive legal policies, procedures and compliance programs.
- Manage and coordinate with external counsel, ensuring efficient and effective legal support.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and address potential legal risks and opportunities.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory changes and emerging legal issues, applying this knowledge to inform business decisions.
QUALIFICATION:
- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB).
- 15-20 years of experience as a practicing attorney with a focus on tech, SaaS and startup companies.
- Proven track record of negotiating complex contracts and deals with blue-chip clients.
- Strong leadership and management skills with experience leading legal teams.
- Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, prioritising multiple projects and deadlines.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on finding creative solutions.
- Admitted to practice law in relevant jurisdiction(s).

- Familiarity with data privacy, security and intellectual property law.
- Experience working with international clients and navigating cross-border legal issues.
- Experience with venture capital financing, M&A and IPOs.
