Job description:

Rain Cements, a thirty-seven-year-old company headquartered in Hyderabad and known for manufacturing and marketing Priya Cement, is looking for an experienced General Manager Corporate Affairs to join the senior management team at its Corporate Office, Hyderabad. You will be responsible for outlining the strategic initiatives of the company, building a future roadmap in terms of market penetration and product portfolios. He/she should be able create business plan and strategies, develop market analysis and research, mapping potential market and penetration strategy, effective policy formulation in terms of alignment of organizational goals and objectives. The incumbent would also drive the corporate development activities in building a digitized corporate, understanding the business processes and drive the automation initiatives both at the manufacturing and corporate level. He/she would do a program management role in terms bringing new technologies, process and making lean manufacturing setup.

Role & responsibilities

  • Establish and develop corporate strategies in terms of bringing the organization to the new heights in collaboration with various departments.
  • Work closely with corporate teams in formulation various policies, weigh its outcomes and drive the implementation of those policies
  • Do market benchmarking, research & analysis and assist in formulating market penetration, product mix strategies.
  • Act as the bridge between manufacturing and the corporate to understand the business process and formulate the technology requirement to make a lean manufacturing organization
  • Devise the digitization strategy of the organization in terms of proposing new technologies, automation tools and drive those initiatives and be responsible for budgeting, benefit analysis.
  • Involve in strategic purchase and procurement deals in terms of bringing the best value from the partners at the optimum cost level including the assessment of the partners and their capabilities.
  • Prepare and present regular updates to management on the progress of various projects, programs and present the dashboards.
  • Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships across the organisation, especially with Operations, Marketing, Finance, Procurement, HR and Legal team

Preferred candidate profile

  • A techno commercial professional with a Bachelors degree in Engineering with full time MBA from a premium institution
  • Minimum 20 years of experience managing corporate strategies, project and program management including building technology driven organization
  • Proven ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with diverse stakeholders, cultivate partnerships, and collaborate effectively across departments or functions within organization.

In depth knowledge of business, including statutory and regulatory requirements pertaining to the manufacturing industry in India

  • Project management skills to plan and implement various program
  • Well versed with project management tools and other relevant IT tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a talent for negotiating effectively.
  • Fluency in English, Hindi, Telegu (desirable)
  • Knowledge of the following: sustainability principles, industry automation, and lean
  • Manufacturing trends, data analysis, cost and budgeting

Willingness and ability to travel occasionally.
