We have an opening for Asst. General Manager/Deputy General Manager (Legal)

Job Location: Corporate Office, Hyderabad

Job description:

KPIs:

• To provide professional leadership in legal, compliance and arbitration strategies along with risk management measures in conjunction with functional and business leaders and with appointed external legal advisors.
• To deal independently with corporate cases, arbitration, legal disputes, power / electricity matters in India and matters related thereto.
• Handle issues/disputes related to Foreign Trade Policy, DGFT, SEZ related matters, Mining Law - MMDR Act and procedure.
• Drive dealing with Civil, company laws, Criminal laws, labor laws and other allied matters

Other Responsibilities

Lead the Legal team on all matters relating Rain group as follows:

• Co-ordination and regular correspondences with statutory authorities and others.
• In Finalization and vetting various agreements with suppliers, contractors and others.
• Review and advise purchase departments of Rain and its subsidiary companies on the inclusion of various terms and conditions in purchase and service orders.
• Identify and appoint reputed law firms for managing the company cases in different courts of law. Need to have well versed with competencies and expertise of various law firms in India.
• Regular interaction and provide inputs to our Advocates for the various cases pending before the High Courts and Supreme Courts and other judicial or quasi-judicial bodies.

Contract Administration:

• Take lead in finalizing contracts for ensuring compliance with Companys Contracting Procedures (including use of the Companys standard terms and conditions for various business transactions).
• Responsible for drafting, reviewing and negotiating a variety of business operations contracts, including (but not limited to) contracts relating to:
• direct procurement (i.e., purchase of raw materials from suppliers),
• indirect procurement (i.e., purchase of goods and services from vendors),
• finished product sale contracts to customers,
• logistics and/or transportation agreements, and
• non-disclosure agreements.

Legal Compliance:

• Create a robust framework relating to legal compliances to be adhere by the company and ensure zero deviation
• Periodic MIS on status of legal cases, arbitration and compliance of legal statutory requirements

Required qualification:

• Full time Bachelors/Masters of Law degree from a recognized university in India.
• Ability to become quickly and efficiently familiar with the Companys required legal compliance, contracts, and corporate governance framework.
• 15-20 years relevant experience in large corporate entities leading in-house legal team/ top Law firms experience representing companies in India.
• Has handled a team of legal professionals

Functional / Technical Skill:

Must have strong leadership skill to lead the Companys in house legal team in terms of ensuring legal compliance, arbitration, legal case management, advising other departments on legal issues and to coordinate with counsels for effective disposal of cases including compliance with the Companys policies and procedures relating to third party risk management, anti-bribery / anti-corruption laws, trade-sanctions programs and anti-trust laws.

Should have excellent drafting skill. Can independently handle legal and arbitration cases. Has in dept knowledge of relevant case laws pertaining to Rain group

Working Knowledge of MS Office and MS Teams.
