AGM/ DGM - Production

Role & responsibilities

1. Production Planning and Management
• Develop and implement production plans in alignment with organizational goals and customer requirements.
• Ensure production schedules are met while maintaining high quality and cost efficiency.
• Monitor daily production activities and address bottlenecks or disruptions proactively.
2. Process Optimization
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other methodologies to optimize operations.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
3. Resource Management
• Manage and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, machinery, and materials.
• Collaborate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics teams to ensure seamless operations.
• Oversee inventory control and minimize production downtime.
4. Quality Assurance
• Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with the quality assurance team to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
• Promote a culture of quality and accountability within the production team.
5. Team Leadership and Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of production managers, supervisors, and operators.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and provide actionable feedback.
• Foster a positive and collaborative work environment to drive employee engagement and retention.
6. Cost Control and Budgeting
• Monitor production costs and identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.
• Prepare and manage the production budget, ensuring efficient utilization of resources.
• Track and report on key financial and operational metrics.
7. Compliance and Reporting
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Prepare and present production reports to senior management, highlighting key performance indicators (KPIs) and improvement initiatives.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:
  Bachelors degree in Engineering, Production Management, or a related field.
  A Masters degree or MBA is preferred.
• Experience:
• Minimum 10 years of experience in production management, with at least 4 years in a leadership role.
• Proven expertise in managing large-scale production facilities.
• Skills:
• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and technology.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in production planning tools, ERP systems, and Lean/Six Sigma methodologies.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
