Plant Head

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Plant Manager or Plant Head to oversee the manufacturing operations at Synnat Pharma Pvt Ltd's pharmaceutical facility in India. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 20 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing (API), a proven track record of leadership, and a strong technical background in GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and regulatory compliance. The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree in pharmacy, Chemical Engineering, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field, with a master's degree preferred. Certification in Lean Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous. Responsibilities:

1. Lead and manage all aspects of manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to production schedules, quality standards, and cost objectives.
2. Implement efficient and effective manufacturing processes to optimize production output and minimize downtime.
3. Build and lead a high-performing team of production supervisors, engineers, technicians, and support staff.
4. Provide coaching, mentorship, and development opportunities to ensure skill enhancement and career growth within the team.
5. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including but not limited to GMP, WHO-GMP, and local regulatory standards (e.g., CDSCO).
6. Implement and maintain quality systems and procedures to uphold product quality and safety standards.
7. Manage budgetary responsibilities and control manufacturing costs while maintaining high standards of efficiency and productivity.
8. Optimize resource utilization, including equipment, materials, and manpower, to achieve production targets.
9. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve overall plant performance.
10. Implement best practices and adopt new technologies to stay competitive in the pharmaceutical manufacturing industry.
11. Ensure a safe working environment and compliance with HSE regulations and standards.
12. Promote a culture of safety awareness and environmental responsibility throughout the organization.
13. Prepare comprehensive reports and procedures, ensuring high standards of documentation and accuracy.
14. Monitor and track performance metrics related to manufacturing operations and implement corrective actions as needed.
15. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence within the team and the organization.
16. Provide training and development programs for team members to enhance their skills and knowledge in manufacturing operations.
17. Collaborate with the Quality Assurance Manager to develop and execute strategic initiatives related to manufacturing.
18. Ensure the efficient utilization of resources and optimize productivity within the plant.
19. Stay updated with industry trends, best practices, and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and maintain high-quality standards.
20. Represent the manufacturing team in meetings, presentations, and discussions with internal and external stakeholders.

General Expectations of Skills and Past Experience:

• Strong technical knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes, specialising in API manufacturing.
• Thorough understanding of regulatory requirements and quality systems (GMP, WHO-GMP, etc.).
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire teams towards achieving operational excellence.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Experience in managing ERP systems like SAP HANA is a plus.
